Erasmus

The Erasmus exchange program for students and academic staff has been established as a main platform for mobility and cooperation among European Universities. For the period 2014-2020 the Erasmus exchange program is part of Erasmus+, i.e. the broader EU program in the fields of education, training, youth and sport.
The Department of Philosophy and Social Studies of the University of Crete has developed a wide network of Erasmus exchange programs with similar university departments from many European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and UK). Each academic year, many students of the Department choose to make good use of the Erasmus program and study for 3 to 12 months at some cooperating European university. Correspondingly, each academic year the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies is happy to receive students from all over Europe. You can find the full list of the Department’s Erasmus exchange programs by clicking here.
Courses are normally taught in Modern Greek. However, each year some courses are possibly taught in English and are especially designed for incoming Erasmus students, Apart from that, incoming Erasmus students are always able to fulfill the requirements of the program through tutorials. To arrange for this option please contact the Erasmus departmental co-ordinator Jannis Pissis (jpissis@uoc.gr).
